Our 1927 Chevrolet flatbed project truck,
lovingly named Flatbed Felix, is finally here! It’s been a slow and steady journey piecing him back together and adding some subtle improvements along the way to make him extra special. On Friday 26 June 2020 at our Northmead, NSW store we revealed the finished Flatbed Felix to the descendants of original founding Hare & Forbes MachineryHouse families, our staff and friends of the company.
It’s been an absolute pleasure sharing Felix’s restoration journey with all of our readers from the
woodworking stage, to
metalworking through to
auto. We wish to extend a huge thank you to our Master Builder, Sean Hegarty from
OG Customs for overseeing the whole project and making this possible. Felix is a beautiful replica of our 1930s delivery truck and a very special salute to the founding members of MachineryHouse. He’ll live on our Northmead store floor from now on so next time you’re visiting us, be sure to check him out!
We hope you enjoyed the journey of restoring our dear old Flatbed Felix! It was a sentimental and very special project for us. Keep up to date with all of our projects by following us on
